Are Your Machines Healthy?: Cybersecurity Risk in Medical Devices

This presentation was originally planned for the 2020 Medical Liability Roundtable that was cancelled due to the pandemic. It is now presented as a virtual value benefit Webinar.

Medical devices are increasingly connected and interactive with health care providers and patients. While the health care industry has mainly focused on patient confidentiality in the past, cybersecurity challenges are growing exponentially. Medical information is a primary target for criminals, competitors, and even governments. Managing cybersecurity risk requires manufacturers, hospitals, facilities, and patients to work together. The presenters will discuss known and potential medical device vulnerabilities, current strategies to protect medical devices, and the FDA’s role in helping manage and mitigate cybersecurity risk.

Webinars are complimentary.  Please note that the IADC does NOT apply for CLE Credit for its Webinars. However, attendees are welcome to apply for and/or claim credit as their jurisdictions allow. Please contact your state accrediting agency for state-specific requirements and rules.

HOW TO REGISTER:
Although there is no fee to attend, you must register so the IADC can plan accordingly for the number of interested participants.  To register, log-in with your IADC username and password.  Each participant must register individually as Zoom links will be specific to each participant.  If you have never attended an IADC event before, please create a guest account where requested on this site.

We hope that you will join us for this exciting and informative program.

NEW! Your IADC website profile. We recently updated member profiles to include your links to any virtual IADC meeting for which you are registered. Go to your account, and when you click to view/edit your account,  go to the “Meeting Participation” tab.
