Emerging Trends in Slack-Fill Litigation
Emerging Trends in Slack-Fill Litigation

Frustrated by the appearance of a product’s packaging compared to the quantity of the product within, consumers and local governmental entities have filed slack-fill lawsuits against manufacturers across the country. This webinar is designed to provide an overview of these lawsuits. Michael C. Zogby, William A. Hanssen, and Katherine McBeth of Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP will explore the connection between the federal prohibition against nonfunctional slack-fill and states’ consumer protection laws as well as when and how courts have addressed challenges to plaintiffs’ claims. IADC members will learn best practices manufacturers can follow to avoid becoming targets of slack-fill lawsuits and strategic defenses.

Webinars are complimentary. Please note that the IADC does NOT apply for CLE Credit for its Webinars. However, attendees are welcome to apply for and/or claim credit as their jurisdictions allow. Please contact your state accrediting agency for state-specific requirements and rules.
